Electrician in Lewiston, Maine
Lewiston sits directly across the Androscoggin from our Auburn shop, so it is effectively part of our backyard. We work throughout the city — the dense downtown neighborhoods, the residential streets around Bates, and the commercial corridors along Lisbon Street and Sabattus Street.
As the largest city in our region, Lewiston generates a steady mix of residential upgrades, rental-property code work, and commercial service that we have handled for over two decades.
Electrical Work in Lewiston
Lewiston’s housing stock is defined by its mill-era multi-family buildings — the classic New England triple-deckers and converted tenements. Electrically, that means a lot of shared services, undersized panels feeding multiple units, and original knob-and-tube or early cloth-wrapped wiring still buried in the walls. Landlords call us for panel separation, sub-metering, and bringing units up to code between tenants; owner-occupants call us to make a century-old two-family safe and insurable.
Insurance carriers increasingly refuse to write policies on homes with active knob-and-tube or fuse panels, and Lewiston has more of both per capita than almost anywhere we work. Documenting and correcting those systems is a large part of what we do in the city.
Services We Provide in Lewiston
Knob and Tube Wiring Replacement
Lewiston’s tenements and triple-deckers have more surviving knob-and-tube than anywhere else we serve.
Fuse to Circuit Breaker Upgrades
Multi-family buildings with old fuse services need modern panels to stay insurable and rentable.
Wiring for New Buildings & Remodels
Downtown rehabs and unit conversions need full rewires that meet current code.
